Three charming, luxurious guest rooms grace 1905 Heritage Corner on its two floors. Two upstairs and one on the ground floor. All have full en-suite facilities offering first-class comfort and a quiet, private ambience. However, the rooms are quite different, each offering its own distinctive character, albeit within a decorative mode as much as possible retaining the style of the building, its original use and our historic locality.
Neither the shapes of the rooms nor the furnishings are the same and maximum use has been made of the inevitably small overall structural space while still preserving the original position and character of the narrow staircase to the second floor and the balcony overlooking the compact rear courtyard. The mostly wood-panelled walls have been soundproofed and there’s a choice of air-conditioning or a fan (or both!) in all rooms.
Step back into the past and enjoy the colonial-era décor, the comfort of a queen-sized four-poster bed with customised mattress, and specifically imported Edwardian-style toiletry, all embellished with traditionally crafted essential-oil soaps, selected teas, Thai sweets and fresh flowers!

This room is conceived with a mind to the original Chinese settlers, the invited immigrants who seamlessly integrated with the local Siamese, adapting their culture with that of their hosts and laying the foundations for the Sino-Thai way of life that permeates Bangkok life today.

SUPERIOR QUEEN
King Chulalongkorn (Rama V), who travelled extensively in Europe, was responsible for constructing Phraeng Phuthon’s buildings while introducing Western art forms, architecture, law and education that would develop Siam as a worthy equal to avaricious Colonial powers bordering all sides of this proudly independent nation. This room offers a sense of those times when influences from the West were selectively acquired on local terms.

This is the room with the closest affinity to the original use of 1905 Heritage Corner as a plain teahouse cum meeting-place for the migrant Chinese merchants. Situated near to the rear courtyard, it is like being immersed in the building’s history and just a step or two away from the community it once served over 100 years ago.
