Being linked to ThaiCraft, a well-known fair trade promoter of village artisans, handcrafted items and decorations are used throughout the guesthouse while their attractive Heritage Craft and Café shop full of high quality and original craft products and ethnic artefacts is very close by.
Heritage Craft and Café. Situated in the old city halfway between the Grand Palace and Giant Swing on Bumrungmuang Road, we are open Monday to Friday (except public holidays) from 11:00am to 5:00pm (weekend hours coming soon!).
While it is a small outlet, the shop has a selection of quality crafts from many sources including products made exclusively for the shop and café. Our visitors always comment on the special traditional style atmosphere and it is an ideal spot to take a cool break from the extreme heat while visiting the temples and Grand Palace nearby.
Although the famous and overcrowded tourist sights are within a few hundred metres from our door, our area among old traditional shophouses is like walking into the past where you can meet the original Sino-Chinese community and enjoy an amazing array of real Thai dishes and sweets at tiny family-run restaurants in a quiet yet active local neighbourhood.
Google Maps will direct you to Heritage Craft & Café. When the MRT extension from Hua Lampong opens soon (free test rides are set to start in July), you will be able to walk from the nearest station (Sanam Chai) in around 12 minutes (1.0km) and through the delightful small Saranrom Park!
